T2 Utility Engineers completed a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Investigation for The Edmonton LRT project. This project included a new low-floor LRT including 27 km of double track with a 500m tunnel and 2km on elevated structure. It also included 28 stations, a new light rail vehicle operation and maintenance facility, 5 transit centres, 2 park and ride facilities and several bridges, including one over the North Saskatchewan River.
The investigation focused on the areas within the proposed track bed and other proposed transit facilities. Numerous conflicts were identified for private utilities and the municipal infrastructure.
